Do you think the proposed Acceptable Solution would be more effective if it was based on an end-point treatment system rather than a central treatment plant?

A single point treatment option is not feasible for our scheme. End-point treatment is the only viable solution for treatment of our bore water.
NB: Out bore terminates in an underground artesian aquifer. The water has been age tested at 38 years.

Current installation and testing shows compliance with 6.1 and 6.2.
Further, water quality and ageing test show additional treatment (uv, chlorination) is NOT necessary. Additionally, each connection point is fitted with backflow protection.

Our scheme is run by vounteers and requirements under section 7 are overly adminstratively onerous and totally off-putting for members of our community.

Our mission is to supply safe, good quality drinking water, NOT to be encumbered with administrative tasks.

PPWS is taking reasonable precautions by regular sample testing. Samples are obtained from the bore head and other points within the distribution system.
